It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paula LeSueur. Many friends of NMASBHC also will have been friends of Paula. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. For the school health field, she was a passionate advocate and leader. She was a caring nurse practitioner to a multitude of students, a thoughtful quality improvement coach to scores of school-based health center clinicians, a dedicated NMASBHC Board member and President, and a tireless mentor to many of us in the school health field.
The staff and Board of NMASBHC extend our sincerest condolences to all those who knew and loved Paula LeSueur. We hope they know what a difference she made in the lives of many children in New Mexico and those who serve them. We mourn Paula’s loss, but we celebrate the unending legacy that she leaves behind.
