Ready. Set. Action! It’s National Public Health Week!

During the first full week of April, we celebrate the impact of public health and continue to advocate for priority issues that can improve our community’s well-being. We’re grateful for all the public health workers in our community that have showed up for us every day!

This year’s theme, “Ready. Set. Action!”, calls on us to look back at the progress we’ve made and look forward to the steps needed for an even healthier future.

Priority Topics for 2026 Include:

Government Partners: Coordination between government agencies and public health professionals is vital to building a foundation for good health.

Scientific Advancement: Science paves way for vaccines, sanitation, and safer workplaces. The knowledge gained through science helps make good health possible.

Community Leadership: Communities help shape our public health policies.

You Partner with Public Health: Individual efforts can shape public health outcomes through collective advocacy.

Learn how to get involved by visiting the National Public Health Week website.
