The UNM Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine and the LARC Mentoring Program, in collaboration with the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and the New Mexico Alliance for School-Based Health Care, are hosting the UCSF Beyond the Pill Program for a day-long LARC training for those interested in incorporating and improving IUD and implant care and access in clinics across NM.
Join us for a one-day training to learn about best practices for provision of IUDs and implants! The course is certified for up to 7.25 CME/CE credit hours at no cost. This all-staff training is designed for health educators, clinicians, managers, nurses, medical assistants, billing specialists, and administrative staff. It includes a didactic session for all staff as well as counseling skills and role playing session for health educators and a clinician practicum that goes over insertion and management. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Along with clinicians, nursing and administrative staff members are encouraged to attend.
